Hiring

Just like every other part of the company, we believe our hiring process should be fully transparent. This leads to a better experience for our team and for potential employees.

Hiring is run through the operations team. There is a corresponding hiring manager, who the candidate will be reporting to.

Generally, we believe recruitment should be a 2 way conversation. We should be convincing qualified candidates as much as we are interviewing them.

  • Step 1: We post a job description under the Careers in the Operating Playbook.
  • Step 2: For qualified candidates, we do a 30 minute screening call.
  • Step 3: From there, we invite the candidate to meet with the hiring manager for an hour.
  • Step 4: From there, we invite the candidate to do a 3 hour session with us to spend time with the team, do a technical interview (i.e. meaning showing the specific skills for their role), work through a challenge together as a team, and ask questions.
  • Step 5: We make an offer via email.

For all candidates, we communicate clearly with them via email. If it’s not a fit, be nice and straightforward.
